Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about your Eniola Hair wig — answered.

What is the difference between a 5x5 and 13x6 lace?

For beginner wig wearers, we recommend the 5x5.

The 5x5 lace closure covers a 5 inch by 5 inch area at the top of the wig, giving a natural centre or side part. The 13x6 lace frontal spans 13 inches across your hairline and 6 inches back, allowing for a much more versatile part placement and a wider, more natural-looking hairline.

If you want more styling flexibility and a seamless hairline from ear to ear, the 13x6 is the better choice. If you prefer a simpler, low-maintenance option, the 5x5 is perfect.

What are bleached knots and how do I care for them?

Bleached knots are where the knots that hold each hair strand to the lace have been lightened so they become invisible against your scalp. This creates a more realistic, skin-like appearance along your hairline.

To care for bleached knots: avoid harsh rubbing, use a sulphate-free shampoo, and be gentle when washing around the lace area. Avoid excessive heat directly on the knots.

What is wig density and which should I choose?

Density refers to how thick and full the hair on the wig is. At Eniola Hair we offer 130%, 150%, and 180% density.

130% — Light and natural, closest to real hair volume. Great for a subtle, everyday look.
150% — Medium density, the most popular choice. Fuller than natural hair but still very wearable.
180% — Full and glamorous. Ideal if you want maximum volume and a bold look.

How do I put on my wig and cut the lace?

Once you receive your Eniola Hair wig, follow these steps: prep your natural hair underneath, place the wig on your head aligning it with your natural hairline, secure with the adjustable straps, then carefully cut the lace as close to the hairline as possible using sharp scissors.
